lutongdisyerto.blogsome.comIt’s our lunch today, I been tweaking this blog overnight and woke up late at around 2:30 PM and the usual thing is to find something to cook in the fridge. We had this pumpkin and string beans and I came up with this Dinengdeng-style dish. I consider it as a healthy dish because it has Fish, Meat and Vegetable…

Ingredients:
400 grams small Galunggong
200 grams pork cut into small pieces
300 grams pumpkin or kalabasa
an ample amount of string beans cut into 3″ long
1 tbsp. oil
1 small tomato
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. black pepper
1 pinch of sugar (msg. substitute)
1 teaspoon salted shrimp fry or alamang
1 1/2 cup of water
fish sauce or patis to augment the taste if desired

-fry and salt the fish and set aside
-oil the pan and cook the pork until it’s crispy then add garlic, onion & tomatoes.
- add in the water then the pumpkin & string beans, simmer and cook for 4-5 mins.
- flavor it with alamang, sugar and black pepper. Augment the taste with fish sauce (patis)
Serve while it’s hot..and put the fried fish on the side for presentation.
